Humanities Department

The mission of the TMI History Department is to prepare students to become global citizens who act in context. We believe history is best learned through interaction with those who lived it and through critical inquiry that questions, challenges, and develops understanding. When students are able to understand why historical issues are relevant to their own lives, they are able to engage actively with the rest of the world.

We strive to educate students who:
  • Are lifelong learners who take intellectual risks
  • Seek, respect, and include other points of view
  • Are discerning consumers of information
  • Are effective communicators
  • Take responsibility for their own decisions and their consequences

MISSION: TMI provides an exceptional education with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ that challenge motivated students to develop their full potential in service and leadership.
