Visiting TMI

The best way to learn about TMI is to spend time on campus. Come to the hill country to experience all that grades 6-12 at TMI has to offer your student–a robust educational experience in a caring, vibrant community. Learn how your student will be challenged and cherished at TMI, while growing and preparing for their future. Scheduling an in-person visit offers you the opportunity to meet with an Admissions staff member, observe classroom instruction, tour athletic facilities, and much more. Prospective parents and students are encouraged to schedule a visit to campus through one of the offerings below.

Campus Tours
Private campus tours are offered daily at TMI. Tours typically last about 1 to 1.5 hours and include a review of the application process, a look at grade-level curriculum, and a walking tour of campus. To schedule a tour, contact the Office of Admissions at or 210-698-7171.

Admissions Open House
Each fall, the Office of Admissions hosts Open House for prospective students and families. This large group event offers prospective families the opportunity to spend an afternoon on campus, exploring TMI academic offerings, engaging with faculty and staff, and exploring campus. This fall, Open House took place on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Check back here for next year's fall date in the summer of 2020.

Admissions Preview Days
Admissions Preview events are typically hosted in the spring each year for prospective families. These parent-only, weekday events offer parents a look inside the TMI experience. During an Admissions Preview Day, parents will hear from TMI administrators and current students, visit various classes to observe instruction, and tour campus facilities and amenities. Registration for Spring Preview Days will be available in the spring semester.
