The National Honor Society

"The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character."
Membership Eligibility at TMI
Students who meet the following criteria will receive an invitation to apply to NHS each year in September:
  • Attendance at TMI Upper School for one full academic semester.
  • A cumulative GPA of 90% is used to determine eligibility for the succeeding year.
  • 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students shall be eligible for admission consideration for membership in the TMI NHS, according to the above criteria.
  • A student transferring from another school is eligible for membership in the TMI society upon presentation of a statement from the advisor of the previous school attended that he/she is a member in good standing of that chapter.
MISSION: TMI provides an exceptional education with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ that challenge motivated students to develop their full potential in service and leadership.
