The 15th Annual TMI Alumni Modified Sporting Clay Shoot was held Sept. 25, 2014, at the San Antonio Gun Club. There were 64 shooters, competing in teams or as individuals, representing alumni, parents and friends of TMI.
The Class of 1988 Team of Jeff Vineyard ’88, Kenner Coon ’88,March Kimmel ’88, and Johnny Neese ’06 took first place among teams. Second place went to the Red McCombs Automotive Team of Greg Striker ’93, Patrick Christilles, Pat Murphy and Charlie Scott; and third place went to the Lemmons-Neese Team, Billy Lemmons, Kyle Gibson, Tio Newton and David Wallace. John Kane ’93 won first place, individual shooter, for the second year in a row; second place went to Cadet Michael Galo III ’17; and Pat Murphy won third.
The clay shoot supports the TMI Alumni Endowed Scholarship, a merit award for incoming or current students who are close relatives of TMI alumni. The recipient for the 2015-2016 school year is Nathan Romo ’18, brother of Spencer Romo ’11.

Ryan Kohnen ’98, who became TMI’s chief advancement officer in July 2017, gave a talk on servant leadership to the student body Sept. 11 during daily chapel.
Alumnus Rudyard Hilliard, M.D., shared his “Five Lessons of Success” with the student body of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas in a special talk Jan. 23 during daily chapel services in the school’s All Saints Chapel.
Alumni from the classes of 1956, '57 and '58 gathered Dec. 9-10 for their annual reunion, starting with a meet-and-greet in the Omni Hotel and concluding with a luncheon at the Texas Land and Cattle Co. restaurant, both in the Memorial City mall, Houston.
