TMI Latin students win honors at Baylor

Latin students from TMI Episcopal brought home a win from Baylor Latin Day.
Baylor Latin Day is an annual event for high-school students that was held Feb. 9 at Baylor University in Waco and sponsored by the university’s admissions and classics departments.

Fourteen TMI students, led by TMI Latin teachers Claudia Clark and Alleyne Rogers, participated in the day’s activities, which included a campus tour and a performance of “Menaechmi,” a comedy by Roman playwright Plautus.

Competing in Certamen – a Latin Quiz Bowl-style game – the TMI team of Garrett Greiner, Aaron Mills, Lucas Prado and Karina Samuel, captained by Latin Club President Bridget Lynch, won a fourth-round victory.
MISSION: TMI provides an exceptional education with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ that challenge motivated students to develop their full potential in service and leadership.

TMI Episcopal admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
