TMI soccer wins state championship

The boys varsity soccer team of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas won the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Division II championship 3-1 over defending champions Grapevine Faith Christian School on March 8 at Waco ISD Stadium.
Two brothers scored all three TMI goals:  Senior Alexander Kuri scored the first of the game and another to tie with Grapevine; freshman Joseph Kuri made the game-winning goal.
TMI has won five previous boys soccer championships, earning its first title in 1987 and four more in fall and winter seasons during the mid-1990s.
