TMI students featured in Voices de la Luna

TMI students are featured in the Feb. 15, 2017, issue of Voices de la Luna: A Quarterly Poetry and Arts Magazine.
Poetry Out Loud recitation contest winner Elizabeth Holmes '17 and runner-up Bridget Lynch '19 are honored for their achievement on page 13. Winners of the H-E-B/Voices de la Luna Poetry Contest have their poems published in this issue, beginning on page 14. Maram Al-Hakeem '18 won first place with her poem "Taken": Nathan Romo '18 took third place with "Small Talk"; and Peter Fera '18, Haddie Hill '18, Darby Moran '17 and Ashton Word '17 swept the Honorable Mention awards. A copy of the magazine is available in Jones Library.

Most of the winning poets are members of the Creative Writing class; thanks to English teacher Hazel Foster for encouraging our students to enter.
