Bryce Christopherson, a rising junior at TMI Episcopal, attended the Oxford Summer Academy at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
Students ages 15-19 with demonstrated academic excellence take classes taught by graduates and faculty of Oxford and other comparable universities and live at St. Edmund Hall, a college within the university. Starting June 24, Christopherson took two two-week terms. His coursework included British and American Politics: A Comparative Study, Creative Writing, Human Rights Law, Philosophy of a Revolution: What Were They Thinking and Profile Your Personality.
The program draws about 50 students each summer from a variety of countries with differing religions, politics and forms of government. Students also have opportunities for trips to British historical sites and to attend cultural events.
