TMI students attend Camp Neuro

Hannah Allen and Manaal Salman, both rising seniors at TMI Episcopal, attended Camp Neuro, held June 25-29 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
The weeklong camp for students ages 15-18 focuses on maintenance of the brain and psychology, with hands-on workshops, basic knowledge lectures and introductions to various careers in health care. Participants learn from health-care professionals about brain anatomy and physiology, how to take patient histories, perform basic physical exams, dissect a preserved animal brain and tie surgical knots.

In a Medical Student Forum, current medical students discuss their paths to medical school and pass on tips and lessons they’ve learned from their experience.

Founded in 2010 and run by medical students in more than 30 cities nationwide, Camp Neuro serves as an introduction for high-school students interested in exploring a career in medicine.
MISSION: TMI provides an exceptional education with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ that challenge motivated students to develop their full potential in service and leadership.

TMI Episcopal admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
