The TMI residential life program follows a house model where small, family-like units allow students to grow in their independence, preparing them for the responsibilities and freedoms that college life brings. “Our House Parents’ homes literally become an extension to our students, allowing us to give them the individual attention they need to form developmental relationships with their house parents to help them maximize their potential while studying here at TMI,” Todd Davis, Director of Residential Life.

Residential life students follow a regular rhythm of life that provides a safe environment as they focus on their academics and push themselves to stretch their abilities, join new clubs and teams, and engage in school life and extracurricular activities.

The TMI boarding program is home to bright and motivated young students from countries all around the world. As a result, the boarding community is an exciting and educational collection of cultures, languages, identities, orientations, religions, personalities, and perspectives. All boarding students are expected to embrace this diversity, taking advantage of the opportunities to learn, live, and grow in a safe and respectful community. Understanding, acceptance, and inclusion are therefore essential and expected of all residents.
