The TMI Alumni Association set a fundraising record at its 17th Annual Modified Sporting Clay Shoot, held Sept. 8 at the San Antonio Gun Club.
With 22 teams and a total of 90 participating shooters, the event netted more than $10,000 for the TMI Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship. Shooters included alumni, faculty and staff, parents and friends of the school, as well as current members of the TMI Corps of Cadets.

The first-place team consisted of Brent Clifton, Grady Engelken, Avery Kibbe of the TMI class of 2000 and Justin Kibbe, TMI 1992. The best all-alumni team was made up of Kenner Coon, March Kimmel and Jeff Vineyard, all of the class of 1988, and Johnny Neese, TMI 2006.

Event sponsors included Briones Engineering, McCombs Ford West, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union and the Oldham Goodwin Group.

Next year’s shoot has been scheduled for Sept. 7, 2018.
