Cameron Crenwelge, a senior at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, won Reserve Champion overall with her Grand Champion Finewool Cross lamb Feb. 4 at the Junior Sale of Champions at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
The crossbred lamb sold for $35,000 to Ladies on the Lamb, a nonprofit group of women who raise funds to support the Future Farmers of America and 4-H youths who raise, show and sell their lambs in the hope that the young contestants will use their stock-show proceeds to pursue a college education.
Crenwelge, who competes with the Kerr County 4-H Club, has shown market lambs at every major stock show in Texas and previously won Grand Champion Lamb at the Texas State Fair and Rodeo Austin. She plans to attend Texas A&M University.
The mission of TMI is to provide an excellent educational community, with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, challenging motivated students to develop their full potential in service and leadership.
