The TMI Alumni Association will hold its 16th Annual Modified Sporting Clay Shoot on Sept. 9 at the San Antonio Gun Club. The event has raised more than $50,000 for the TMI Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship, a merit award that has been given out for the past three years.
Co-chairmen are Ernest Brown ’80, Clarissa Chapa Vazquez ’88 and David Kaliski ’94. There is space for 25 teams of four; registration is $440 per team or $125 for individual shooters. Sponsors include Briones Engineering and AAA Auger Plumbing Services. Prizes will recognize best team and individual shooters (first through third place), best ladies and best all-alumni team.
The alumni merit scholarship has been awarded since 2014. Recipients to date are: Jacob Perez ’21, son of Patrick Perez ’96; Nathan Romo ’18, brother of Spencer Romo ’11; and Caroline Vassar ’19, sister of Margaret Vassar ’15.
