Interact Service

Interact: TMI's Community Service Club

Welcome to the TMI Interact Club! At TMI, the Interact Club is open to students in both the Middle School and Upper School. Interact is the community service program for Rotary International, where the motto is Service Above Self. We were chartered in 2007 by the Rotary Club of San Antonio at The Dominion.

Our focus is community service. We hold multiple fundraisers throughout the year to support local and international causes as well as conducting food and clothing drives and participating in service projects in the community.

What is Interact?

Interact is the community service branch of Rotary for students between the ages of 12 and 18. Local Rotary Clubs sponsor Interact Clubs in junior high and high schools. The sponsored Interact Club is responsible for conducting local and international community service projects and look toward the local Rotary Club for guidance and support.

For many students, Interact is the first introduction to Rotary. According to the Rotary.org website, there are "more than 10,700 [Interact] clubs in 109 countries and geographical areas, Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon. Almost 200,000 young people are involved in Interact."

What is Rotary?

Service above self.

Rotary is a community service organization, founded by business leaders who wanted to give back to their communities, and helps to better the lives of individuals around the world. According to Rotary.org there are, "1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world..."

Rotarians live by the 4-way test:
  • First, is it the truth.
  • Second, is it fair to all concerned.
  • Third, will it build goodwill and better friendships.
  • Fourth, will it be beneficial to all concerned.
MISSION: TMI provides an exceptional education with values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ that challenge motivated students to develop their full potential in service and leadership.
