Ancient Music Performance - Dr. Martha Fabrique

I wanted to let you know that the Humanities and Arts Departments have worked together to bring a speaker and  professional musician to our wonderful campus!     On November 2nd in the afternoon we will have a visiting professional flutist  who specializes in an ancient Japanese instrument called Shakuhachi ( Bamboo Flute).  She will be performing during 5th and 6th period in the chapel.  Currently, we are only planning for Arts and Humanities to be able to attend in-person due to seating capacity in the chapel.  However we will be streaming the lecture and performance live on the TMI Youtube channel.  We will also be recording and posting it for later access if November 2nd is not a good day for you to attend.

Below is a little bit of information on this wonderful performer, and I have linked her website where she has posted a sampling of her work for free.
