Thanks to all who attended the Friday-night barbecue on All Saints Chapel porch! Alumni to be inducted into the new TMI Hall of Fame also attended a reception at the home of Headmaster John W. Cooper, Ph.D., and were introduced on Howell Field during halftime at the Homecoming game. New members of the Hall of Fame are:
Cheyenne Mangold ’10, state champion runner at TMI and nationally ranked runner in college, now a medical student at Texas Tech University; and William W. Bondurant III ’54, Joseph B. Dial ’54 and Pinckney Franklin Steed Jr. ’53, representatives of some of the six state championship teams of 1952-1953. Mary Kennedy, TMI science department chair from 1991 to 2006, received a Distinguished Servant Leader Award for outstanding service as a science educator.
At Saturday morning’s Homecoming Pass in Review, former Battalion Commander Allan Rupe ’80 served as reviewing official, representing his 35-year reunion class, and The Hall of Fame inductees were presented with their awards at the Alumni Luncheon, where Dr. Cooper also read the names of deceased alumni since last year. Alumni attending the luncheon included Freddy Armstrong ’65, Ed Bondurant ’58 , Charles Bondurant ’65, Clarissa Chapa-Vazquez ’88, Joseph Dial ’77, Peggy Evans ’93, Adrian Fox-Baker ’88, Al Hartman ’59, Richard Keller ’45, Cori Kennedy ’93, Eric Miller ’94 and Charlie Pumarejo ’85.

Ryan Kohnen ’98, who became TMI’s chief advancement officer in July 2017, gave a talk on servant leadership to the student body Sept. 11 during daily chapel.
Alumnus Rudyard Hilliard, M.D., shared his “Five Lessons of Success” with the student body of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas in a special talk Jan. 23 during daily chapel services in the school’s All Saints Chapel.
Alumni from the classes of 1956, '57 and '58 gathered Dec. 9-10 for their annual reunion, starting with a meet-and-greet in the Omni Hotel and concluding with a luncheon at the Texas Land and Cattle Co. restaurant, both in the Memorial City mall, Houston.
