On behalf of the sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students, faculty and staff of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, I welcome you to our Middle School. As Head of Middle School, I am very proud to be part of a dynamic and energetic group of teachers and students. If you are a Middle School parent, you understand that the Middle School years are often a time of transition and change. Through small class sizes and outstanding, professional educators, TMI Middle School ensures that each student will receive individual and personal attention in a safe and caring atmosphere based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our dedicated teachers partner with parents in providing the best educational experience for each child. Read More

From day one, students have a strong
support system of dedicated faculty and counselors. They instantly become members of the community with our Panther Pals program, matching sixth grade students with a senior Panther Pal to provide mentorship and guidance throughout the school year.
Did you know? While TMI's Middle School program begins in the 6th grade, our boarding program is open to students starting in the 8th grade. The 5-day and 7-day boarding programs provide students with a close-knit community that enjoys dinners together, stays in comfortably furnished rooms, and experiences a structured environment for study halls and recreation.

List of 3 items.

  • Character Education

Character education is paramount in the Middle School curriculum for the development of our students. Through team-building activities that begin in the first few days of school to ongoing activities that encourage students to not just grow, but flourish.
  • Mentorship

The Peer Mentor and Panther Pals programs give Middle School students a friend and mentor as they progress through their time at TMI. As a part of the Panther Pals program, a senior student is assigned as a Panther Pal to a sixth grade student to help guide and encourage during the year. Peer Mentors are Upper School students who are trained to lead a grade-level group of Middle School students every other week and focus on Middle School issues.
  • Service

Numerous opportunities exist in the Middle School to help students learn the value of helping others. Whether during a Middle School mission trip or through the school’s service-centered organization, Interact, students are taught to respect and help others.
