Inclusive Community and School Traditions

Middle School students participate in school-wide events — from chapel services and spirit weeks to Homecoming and Founder's Day — building a bridge between the Middle and Upper School communities.

Academic Foundations with Upper School Readiness

TMI’s Middle School curriculum intentionally prepares students for success in Upper School. With small classes, individualized support, and an emphasis on critical thinking and communication, students develop the skills they’ll need for honors and AP-level coursework.

Outdoor & Experiential Learning

Hands-on learning extends beyond the classroom with field trips, outdoor education days, and grade-level retreats designed to build teamwork, independence, and real-world skills.

Exploratory Electives

Students explore a variety of electives designed to spark curiosity — from robotics and coding to visual arts, creative writing, and theater. These opportunities allow students to discover new passions in a supportive environment.

Leadership & Character Education

Through speaking in front of peers in chapel, service learning, and leadership opportunities, Middle School students begin developing the confidence, empathy, and ethical foundation that define the TMI experience.
