Our Campus

TMI Episcopal’s 80-acre hilltop campus in northwest San Antonio offers a college-like setting where students learn, lead, and grow. With modern academic buildings, athletic facilities, creative spaces, and a historic chapel, every part of campus is designed to support student success—in and beyond the classroom.

TMI’s collegiate-style campus provides students with a learning
environment that mirrors the feel of a small university.

With dedicated academic buildings, a chapel, athletic facilities, and residential halls spread across 86 acres, students experience both independence and community. The layout encourages collaboration, exploration, and preparation for the next step of life in college and beyond.

Classrooms across campus are designed for collaboration and active learning. With flexible layouts, modern technology, and spaces that encourage discussion and creativity, they provide students with an engaging environment that supports curiosity and connection.

The B.E.N. Center is a welcoming space where students can relax, play games, and spend time with friends. Conveniently located next to the Student Support Offices, it serves as a fun and supportive hub for community and connection.

All Saints Chapel is the spiritual heart of TMI’s campus. As the center of daily chapel services, special ceremonies, and community gatherings, it reflects the school’s Episcopal foundation and commitment to faith, reflection, and service. The chapel stands as a place of worship, unity, and inspiration for the entire TMI community.

Coates Science Hall is home to TMI’s science programs, featuring dedicated labs and classrooms that inspire curiosity, experimentation, and discovery. Designed to support hands-on learning, it provides students with the tools and spaces to explore the sciences in depth. The building’s name honors Coates Hall, which was recently renovated and transformed into Harthan Hall and Coates Science Hall, carrying forward its legacy in a modern academic setting.

The Frost Athletic Center is the heart of Panther athletics, featuring two gymnasiums, a weight room, locker facilities, swimming pool, and coaches’ offices. It’s where school spirit thrives and our teams compete. In the summer of 2025, Frost received a refreshed look and rebranding, further elevating the experience for athletes and fans alike.

The academic heart of campus, Harthan Hall is home to TMI’s classrooms and student gathering spaces, providing a dynamic space for discussion, creativity, and collaboration. Together with the adjoining Coates Science Hall, which features fully equipped labs for hands-on discovery, experimentation, and advanced research, these buildings form a modern center for learning. Formerly Coates Hall, the space was reimagined and transformed into Harthan Hall and Coates Science Hall during the 2024–2025 school year, officially opening at the start of 2025–2026.

The Petty-Donnell Library, located in Harthan Hall, serves as a quiet hub for study, research, and reflection. With a collection that supports all areas of learning, the library provides students with resources and space to read, collaborate, and explore ideas.

The Plaka is a modern, industrial-style gathering space nestled between Harthan Hall and Coates Science Hall. Designed as a central hub for student life, it offers a versatile spot to study, connect with friends, or take a break between classes.

Designed for future-focused learning, the Walker Innovation Center empowers students to create, build, and collaborate. Featuring flexible learning spaces, a fabrication lab, and cutting-edge technology, it serves as the home of design thinking, robotics, entrepreneurship, and more. The Center also houses the Visual Arts program and the Student Business Center, making it a dynamic space where creativity and innovation intersect.

Ayres Hall serves as a central hub on campus and the main location for administrative offices. It houses the Office of Admissions, the President’s Office, the Business Office, and Academic Support. Ayres is also home to the Refectory, the B.E.N. Center, and the Student Support Center.

Safety and Security

At TMI Episcopal, the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure, welcoming environment where every member of our community can thrive.

Our Welcome Center serves as the main point of entry to campus and is staffed 24/7 by trained security officers who monitor access and ensure that all guests and vehicles are properly screened. This around-the-clock presence helps us maintain a safe and orderly campus at all times—including evenings, weekends, and during boarding hours.

In addition to our on-site security team, TMI maintains a range of proactive safety measures, including emergency preparedness protocols, secure building access, campus-wide communication systems, and ongoing safety training for faculty and staff. The leader of our Safety and Security department is Chief Al Ballew, retired Chief of Police for San Antonio.

At TMI, safety is not just a system—it’s a culture of care, vigilance, and community responsibility.
